Starting ABA in January
A fresh start, ready and waiting
January is a natural starting point. Everyone is ready for a reset, the new school semester is around the corner, and there’s a whole year ahead filled with moments to celebrate.
After the break, it’s the perfect time to build routines that work, with support from day one.
Your BCBA sets clear goals with you, so next December you can look back and see how far your child has come.
Many insurance plans renew in January. We’ll verify your benefits for the new year and take care of the approvals.

Getting started with ABA
Still deciding? Here’s what parents often tell us.
There’s rarely a perfect moment. Starting now means your child gets support while new routines are forming, and a whole year to build on it.
That’s very common, and it doesn’t last forever. With the right support, children often get back on track quickly.
You don’t need to. Call us, tell us about your child, and we’ll walk you through every step.

New year ABA FAQs
Questions parents ask us in January
Is January a good time to start ABA therapy?
Yes. Routines are resetting after the holidays and a new school semester is starting, which makes it a natural time to begin.
What’s the difference between in-home, in-school and hybrid ABA?
In-home ABA happens at home, in-school ABA happens during the school day, and hybrid combines both with one connected plan. We’ll help you choose what fits your child.
My child had a hard time over the winter break. Is that normal?
Very. Changes in routine, travel and time off school can be hard for many children. ABA can help your child get back on track.
Does my insurance coverage change in the new year?
Many plans renew in January, which can affect your benefits. We’ll verify your coverage for the new year and explain everything up front.
Do we need a diagnosis to start?
Most insurance plans require an autism diagnosis to cover ABA. If you’re still waiting on one, we can help. Learn about autism diagnosis →
How involved will I be?
Very. Parent coaching is part of your child’s plan, so you can keep the progress going, and cheer on every win.
