Colorado Community Health Alliance, often shortened to CCHA, isn’t a separate insurance plan you sign up for. It’s the Regional Accountable Entity, or RAE, that manages behavioral health benefits for Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid program) members whose primary care provider is located in Boulder, Broomfield, Clear Creek, El Paso, Gilpin, Jefferson, Park, or Teller County. If your child has Health First Colorado and your family lives in or near one of these counties, including Boulder or Colorado Springs, CCHA is likely already your regional organization.
That distinction matters because ABA therapy is billed as a behavioral health service, which means CCHA is the organization coordinating that specific part of your child’s care, working alongside Health First Colorado rather than instead of it.

Your actual insurance coverage still comes through Health First Colorado.
